Moss Agate Necklace

I’ve had this oval Moss Agate since way before I ever knew how to set a stone, probably at least 12 years.  I think it was my first cab I purchased.  Could never decide what I wanted to do with it so put it away.  Made something with it a few months back but didn’t really care for my design.  So I put it back in the cab box.  Today I was looking at our huge green cedar tree that drops all these orange pieces of fir (I actually don’t know what it’s called.....the green after it turns orange and falls to the ground), and I remembered this stone and how with it’s green and orange colors it reminds me so much of this tree and autumn. Anyway I think I’m pretty happy with how this turned out.  Since i was inspired by my tree, I cut out a tree on the backside and stamped with my makers mark and sterling.  Bezel set in fine silver and I hand sawed the wavy border on the backplate. Pendant measures 72mm long and hangs on a rolo chain finished to your length.  All silver has been given a darker patina.
