Reticulated Silver Ring with Garnet

This ring was a labor of love.  Made from silver created by a process known as “reticulating”, created from heating and quenching the silver many times to deplete the copper oxides, resulting in really cool textures resembling aged metal.  The colors achieved can be anything from silver, gold, copper, bronze, purple, blue and anything in between.  It’s a pretty cool process but takes hours to achieve. I call this piece “Scarred” as it’s aged and textured and layered and worked over pretty hard, then I added a 4mm berry red Garnet stone for some beauty and a crescent moon.  The ring tapers from 13mm at the widest point to 6mm where it rests on your finger.  It would fit size 5-1/2 to 5-3/4.  Very brutalist style.
